WESgraph is a free reference tool. It is built to collect as little as possible.
No accounts, no cookies, no tracking
There is nothing to sign up for and the site sets no tracking cookies.
Aggregate, anonymous visit statistics are collected with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and no cross-site tracking.
The site is served by Cloudflare Pages; Cloudflare processes standard technical request data (such as IP addresses) to deliver and protect the site.
Concept pages with an article teaser load their image directly from Wikimedia servers (upload.wikimedia.org), which see standard technical request data when the image is fetched.
What is kept in your browser
Changes you draw on the graph are held in your own browser (in its local storage) and are sent nowhere until you press submit. Clearing them, or clearing your browser's data for this site, removes them completely.
Two other things are remembered in the same place: whether this browser has been shown the guided tour, and whether it has been shown the invitation to contribute. Both are single yes/no marks that stop you being shown the same thing twice. Neither leaves your browser, and clearing the site's data removes them.
When you do submit, the batch is published exactly like a suggestion below: as a public issue, with the optional name you chose for credit.
The suggestion form
What you submit — the suggestion text, the concept it concerns, an optional reference, and the optional name you choose for credit — is published as a public issue in our GitHub review queue. Do not include information you would not want public.
